WHAT GREENR IS

Greenr (greenr.fyi) is a job intelligence tool that helps tech professionals compare roles at competitor companies. You enter your role, company, and optionally your salary. We show you what's out there and score each match. No account required.

DATA WE COLLECT

When you use Greenr, we collect the following anonymised data:

Your search inputs (role title, company, salary range, work style preference)
What results we returned (match count, top match company, Greenr Score)
Country-level location (derived from your IP address — we never store your full IP)
A hashed session ID (random, not tied to your identity, cleared when you close the tab)
Usage events: Apply button clicks, scroll depth on results, new search clicks
Basic device context: mobile or desktop, referrer domain (e.g. "reddit.com")

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

Your name or email address (Greenr has no accounts, no sign-up)
Your full IP address (we store only a truncated hash: "104.26.14.x")
Persistent identifiers or cross-site tracking
Your browsing activity outside of greenr.fyi

LEGAL BASIS

Search data and usage events: Legitimate interests under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f). We need this data to operate the product, fix broken scrapers, and understand which searches return poor results. The data is anonymised and cannot identify you.

Google Analytics cookies:Consent under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Google Analytics only fires if you click "Accept" on the consent banner. If you decline, no Google cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

THIRD PARTIES

Supabase (EU) — Database hosting. Stores anonymised search events and job data.
Vercel (EU) — Web hosting and serverless functions.
Google Analytics — Traffic analytics. Only active with your consent.

We do not sell or share your individual search data with any third party.

AFFILIATE LINKS

Some links on the results page are affiliate links (Teal, Exponent, Levels.fyi, Resume.io). If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. Clicks are logged in our database for analytics. No personal data is shared with affiliate partners.

DATA RETENTION

Raw search events are retained for 12 months, then deleted. Aggregated daily statistics (total searches, most-searched companies) are kept indefinitely but contain no individual-level data.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Request a copy of any data we hold associated with your hashed session
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for Google Analytics (click "Cookie settings" in the footer)
